Cosmic Futures was founded in 2018 by Hugo Nunes, a mechatronics engineer from Portugal. After joining the recruitment industry in 2015, Hugo realised that the standard agency model is highly ineffective because it operates with a quantity-over-quality methodology that creates poor experiences for all parties involved. Hirers often get a selection of poorly chosen profiles with little care for the proper fit to the technical spec and company culture, and candidates usually get sold into jobs which might seem suitable at first but are a no good match in the long run. In most cases, this leads to poor performance and unhappiness in the workplace, eventually causing candidates to leave, bringing employers many problems from a resource and financial standpoint.

Cosmic Futures was created to combat this problem and we made it our mission to change the industry's status quo and deliver a solution that addresses the most demanding hiring challenges in the Space sector today, with a vision of advancing our civilization for generations to come.
